Lobster Tails and Seared Scallops in Garlic Butter Elegance 🦞🦐

Transform your dinner into an oceanic feast with this decadent dish of lobster tails and perfectly seared scallops, all enveloped in rich garlic butter! Your taste buds are in for a delightful treat!

Ingredients:

  • 6 large sea scallops
  • 2 lobster tails, 6-8 oz each
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika, optional for color
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Using kitchen shears, cut a lengthwise slit in the top shell of each lobster tail. Carefully separate the lobster meat from the shell and lay it on top for an eye-catching presentation.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper. Whisk these ingredients together to create a flavorful garlic butter mixture.
  3. Generously apply the garlic butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat. Make sure it is well-coated to enhance the taste during cooking.
  4. Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. The lobster is ready when the meat is opaque and lightly golden.
  5. While the lobster is baking, pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  6. Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until a golden-brown crust forms.
  7. Just before the scallops are done, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the skillet. Spoon the melted mixture over the scallops to boost their flavor during the final moments of cooking.
  8. Once the lobster tails are baked and the scallops are perfectly seared, arrange them on a serving plate. Drizzle any leftover garlic butter from the skillet over the seafood, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for a zesty finish.
