Garlic Butter Pork Chops with Creamy Potato Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese Directions:
Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Grab a skillet and heat up the olive oil over medium-high heat. Take the pork chops and season them with salt, pepper, and a bit of thyme. Sear them in the hot skillet for around 4 to 5 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully golden brown. Once done, set them aside for a moment. In the same skillet, melt the butter and toss in the minced garlic. Let it sauté for about a minute or two until the garlic becomes fragrant. Next, take a greased baking dish and layer the sliced potatoes in it. Pour the garlic butter you just made over the potatoes and give it a nice seasoning of salt and pepper. Sprinkle both cheddar and parmesan cheese over the top. Cover your dish with foil and pop it in the oven, baking for 30 minutes. After that, remove the foil and let it bake for another 15 minutes until the top achieves a lovely golden, bubbly finish. Serve those delicious pork chops alongside the creamy potato casserole for a meal that’s sure to impress. Enjoy!
