Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
Directions:

Prepare Cake: Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Make Batter: In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Pour into the cake pan and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Prepare Whipped Cream: Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
