Chocolate Blueberry Tres Leches Cake 🍫🫐🍰

A delicious twist on the classic Tres Leches Cake, this Chocolate Blueberry Tres Leches Cake is a moist, chocolatey delight soaked in a rich trio of milks, topped with a fresh blueberry topping for a burst of flavor in every bite!

Ingredients:

For the cake:

1 box chocolate cake mix (or your favorite chocolate cake recipe)
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
For the milk mixture:

1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
For the topping:

1 cup fresh blueberries
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:

Prepare the cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, prepare the chocolate cake batter by following the instructions on the box (or your homemade chocolate cake recipe). Add the eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla, then mix until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake according to the package instructions (about 25-30 minutes), or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Soak the cake: While the cake is baking, mix together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a bowl. Once the cake has finished baking and cooled slightly, use a fork to poke holes all over the cake. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, ensuring it soaks in evenly. Let the cake sit for 30 minutes to absorb the milks.

Prepare the topping: In a small bowl, toss the blueberries with sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes to bring out their natural juices.

Assemble and serve: Once the cake has absorbed the milk mixture, spread a layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with the blueberries and serve chilled.
