Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks, 8 oz each
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cups cooked rice or mashed potatoes
- Grilled or roasted vegetables (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:

- Prepare the steaks: Begin by seasoning both sides of the steaks with one tablespoon of olive oil, one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Cook the steaks: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness. After cooking, transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes to maintain their juiciness.
- Cook the Cajun shrimp: While the steaks are resting, take a bowl and toss the shrimp with the remaining tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and minced garlic until all shrimp are well coated.
- Sauté the shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and butter over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Once cooked, squeeze the juice of one lemon over the shrimp and toss to ensure they are well coated.
- Assemble and serve: On a large platter, arrange the rested steaks alongside the Cajun shrimp. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or your choice of grilled or roasted vegetables. Don’t forget to sprinkle fresh parsley on top for a beautiful garnish.
