🍋 Garlic Butter Seared Scallops 🧈
Golden, buttery, and packed with flavor—restaurant-quality scallops at home!
📝 Ingredients:
1 lb fresh sea scallops
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Lemon wedges for serving
🍽️ Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Scallops:

Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2️⃣ Sear the Scallops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add scallops in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, without moving them.
Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the pan.
Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Squeeze in lemon juice and mix well.
4️⃣ Coat & Serve:
Return the scallops to the pan, spooning the garlic butter over them.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
5️⃣ Enjoy:
Serve immediately with a side of roasted vegetables, pasta, or a fresh salad!
