ingredients:

for the beef tenderloin:

  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

for the shrimp topping:

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

for the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

directions:

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Rub steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear each steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  2. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté shrimp with minced garlic until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Add diced tomatoes, parsley, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  3. Deglaze the skillet with beef broth, then whisk in butter and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes to thicken.
  4. Plate the steaks and spoon the shrimp mixture on top. Drizzle with the sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
  5. Serve immediately for an elegant and flavorful meal.
