Salted Caramel Cream Cheese Cupcakes 🧁🍯
Ingredients:
1 box of vanilla cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon sea salt (for topping)
Instructions:

Prepare the cake batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, follow the instructions on the vanilla cake mix box, adding the eggs, oil, and water. Mix well until everything is smooth.
Bake the cupcakes: Spoon the cake batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds of the way. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the frosting: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Slowly add the powdered sugar, continuing to mix until smooth. Then, add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce, stirring to combine.
Frost the cupcakes: Once the cupcakes have cooled, frost each one with a generous swirl of the cream cheese frosting. You can use a spatula or a piping bag for a decorative touch.
Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle salt: Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top of the frosted cupcakes and finish off with a sprinkle of sea salt for that perfect salted caramel flavor.
Serve and enjoy: These Salted Caramel Cream Cheese Cupcakes are a delicious combination of sweet and savory, perfect for any dessert table!
