Ingredients

Directions

1️⃣ Prep Strawberries: Combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl. Let sit for 15 minutes to release juices.

2️⃣ Make the Cake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  • Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with flour. Mix until smooth.
  • Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
