Homemade Chocolate Cake π«
Ingredients:
- π₯£ 1 and 3/4 cups (220g) all-purpose flour
- π¬ 1 and 1/2 cups (300g) granulated sugar
- π« 3/4 cup (65g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- π₯ 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
- π₯ 1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda
- π§ 1/2 tsp salt
- π₯ 2 large eggs
- π₯ 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
- π’οΈ 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
- πΌ 2 tsp vanilla extract
- π§ 1 cup (240ml) boiling water
- π§ 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- π 3 and 1/2 cups (440g) powdered sugar
- π« 1/2 cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- π₯ 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- πΌ 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
- π₯ Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- π₯ In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- π₯ Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat until smooth, then stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
- π° Divide batter between pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- β³ Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- π§ Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa, then milk and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
- π Once cooled, frost one layer, stack the second, and frost the entire cake. Enjoy!
