Cheesy Crab Cakes with Creamy Sauce 🦀🧀
Ingredients:
✅ For the crab cakes:
🔹 1 lb lump crab meat 🦀
🔹 ½ cup breadcrumbs 🍞
🔹 ¼ cup mayonnaise
🔹 1 egg, beaten 🥚
🔹 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
🔹 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
🔹 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
🔹 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 🌿
🔹 ½ red bell pepper, finely diced
🔹 1 tbsp lemon juice 🍋
🔹 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese 🧀
🔹 2 tbsp butter or oil for frying

✅ For the creamy sauce:
🔹 1 tbsp butter 🧈
🔹 ½ cup heavy cream
🔹 1 garlic clove, minced 🧄
🔹 ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
🔹 ½ tsp paprika
🔹 Salt & pepper to taste
🔹 ¼ cup Parmesan cheese 🧀
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the crab cakes: in a bowl, mix all the crab cake ingredients until well combined. Shape into small patties and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
2️⃣ Cook: heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry each crab cake for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
3️⃣ Make the sauce: in a saucepan, melt butter, sauté garlic and red bell pepper for 2 minutes. Add heavy cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy.
4️⃣ Serve & enjoy: pour the creamy sauce over the crab cakes, top with fresh parsley, and serve warm!
