Stuffed Cabbage Rolls 🥬🥬🥬
Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 450 g ground pork
  • 120 ml cooked rice
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (400 g)
  • 60 ml tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the cabbage
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully peel off the outer leaves of the cabbage. Blanch them in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened. Drain and let cool. Repeat this process until you have enough leaves for the rolls.
  2. Prepare the filling
In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Assemble the rolls
Lay one cabbage leaf flat on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the filling near the base of the leaf. Fold the sides of the leaf inwards, then roll tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining cabbage leaves and filling.
  4. Prepare the sauce
In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar. Stir well to create a smooth sauce.
  5. Cook the rolls
Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in a large pot or Dutch oven. Pour the tomato sauce over the rolls. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the meat is fully cooked and the cabbage is tender.
  6. Serve
Serve hot, with extra sauce on top, and enjoy your delicious stuffed cabbage rolls. Mazotoa! 🤓👨🏽‍🌾😋🙋🏽‍♀️🌞👌🏾
