❤️🍥 Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting 🍥❤️
These soft and fluffy red velvet cinnamon rolls are swirled with a rich cinnamon-sugar filling and topped with luscious cream cheese frosting. A perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup warm milk (110°F or 45°C)
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon red food coloring
For the Cinnamon Filling:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:

- Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, cocoa powder, and red food coloring. Mix well.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. - Make the Cinnamon Filling:
In a bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined. - Assemble the Rolls:
Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼-inch thick).
Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
Roll the dough tightly from one long edge to the other.
Cut into 12 even pieces and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes. - Bake the Rolls:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown. - Make the Cream Cheese Frosting:
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix until creamy. - Frost & Serve:
Spread the cream cheese frosting over the warm rolls.
Sprinkle with red velvet cake crumbs (optional) for extra decoration.
