Creamy Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque ๐๐ค
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 pound crab meat, picked over for shells
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (for garnish)
Directions:

- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, celery, and carrots. Sautรฉ for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- Stir in the thyme, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using) and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the seafood stock and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture back to a gentle simmer. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the crab meat and shrimp to the pot. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
- Add butter to the bisque and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve the bisque in bowls, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
