Crockpot Mississippi Chicken 🍗🌿
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 5-6 pepperoncini peppers (whole)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add Seasonings:
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken.
- Add Butter and Peppers:

- Cut the stick of butter into slices and place them on top of the chicken and seasoning mixture.
- Add the whole pepperoncini peppers on top. If you like, you can also add sliced black olives for extra flavor.
- Cook:
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
- Shred the Chicken:
- Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot, mixing it with the sauce and peppers.
- Serve:
- Serve the Mississippi chicken over rice, mashed potatoes, or in a sandwich. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
