Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce 🥩🍤🌶️

Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce 🥩🍤🌶️

Ingredients:

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

Prepare the Steaks:

Season both sides of the ribeye steaks generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, covered with foil.
Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
Add the shrimp and sprinkle with additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside with the steaks.
Sauté the Vegetables:

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and sliced bell pepper.
Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.
Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce:

Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.
Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika.
Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it begins to thicken.
Combine and Finish:

Return the cooked steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce and vegetables over them.
Let everything heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
