Garlic Cajun Salmon and Shrimp with Creamy Parmesan Sauce

Garlic Cajun Salmon and Shrimp with Creamy Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Cajun Blend:

1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Seafood:

4 skin-on salmon fillets
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

Prepare the Cajun Spice Mix:
In a small bowl, stir together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Cook the Salmon and Shrimp:
Generously season both sides of the salmon fillets and shrimp with the Cajun spice mix. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and add shrimp to the skillet. Cook until the shrimp are pink and the salmon is fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes.

Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
Remove the seafood from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium-low. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.

Finish the Dish:
Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the garlic Parmesan cream sauce over the seafood to coat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
